Backstory: This was originally recorded this last year for the "Peppermint Park: Magical Dance Party Mixes" album during down-times at work, creating a weird album featuring modern and bizarre/stylistically inappropriate songs based on the lame 80's direct-to-vhs series "Peppermint Park" that I introduced the internetz waay back in 2006...
The album was meant as a total joke (as everything on this channel, fuckwad).. Just something to toss off during breaks at the multimedia center/studio where I work, and I thought well, I'm the one who spawned this garbage online in the first place, might as well be the one to put the final word on everything.. And it was a fun and rewarding experience..
The album would have been limited if it only featured songs based on Ernie & Maynard (which were later ported to separate EP's), so I had to come up with tracks based on the lesser characters, to even things out. "Bubbles" was just a throwaway jokey trap track, sandwiched in-between the Letter M & Blue hi-jinks....
For "Bubbles," the original 2023 mix was only around 2 minutes long that appeared on the since-withdrawn test release.. I then came up with a 3 minute mix using Pyrocynical's review of my original upload (since the guy didn't post source links or give channel credit on his monetized video, it was fair game) but felt that was more distracting than anything else.
I always liked the original mix and felt it could be extended, maybe turned into an EP of various "aquatic" mixes, for kicks (a totally fucking absurd project, but as if I've ever cared about that in my entire career).. So a few weeks ago, I extended the older mix, just made it totally druggy, hazy, then crafted several other absurd bizarre, bubblicious minimal aquatic pop/mollusk trap soundscape mixes of "Bubbles" and here we are...

Everything came out better than expected (because, the joke is "why the fuck does this exist?!? NOBODY CARES" which uh, yeah that's the point.. Get a job and hit the gym, slob).. Then I figured I should throw together a video. The original source bit only lasted barely over a minute, so I thought to toss together a cheap visualizer. But, like these other gems;

I couldn't help myself (except for that shitty "Blue (Eiffel 65 Maynard Mix)" thing, which even I couldn't be bothered to take time making a video from THAT disgrace!) and did the best I could with such little footage of the puppets...
When video development began, I said "fuck it, might as well TRY to go all the way with this thing, even if the source footage is total trash and it's really not meant for visuals".. I even got bored towards the end, started throwing in clips from other pop culture jamming tracks I've either released, or am working on at the moment, and thought it turned out funny, regardless of a lack of footage of these two twerps....
So yeah, this is my final dance mix music video based on "Peppermint Park" (although I'd love to do a video for this one ua-cam.com/video/gx9cCRsKI4I/v-deo.html and this ua-cam.com/video/OyKtaoT76_s/v-deo.html but really don't have much time anymore for such Peppermint foolishness, way too many clients and bookings for this nonsense..
